The Position

One full-time Construction Carpenter for small to medium-sized projects, reporting to the Site Superintendent. This position will work in varying aspects of the construction field (industrial, commercial, and institutional) and will be expected to have a strong understanding of BC Building Code and safe work practices.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in construction of scaffolding, formwork, stairs, walls, roofs, decks etc
• Work with cranes and other moving equipment
• General labour duties as required

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry
• Red Seal Carpenter from an accredited college, university, or trade school
• Must have a valid BC driver’s license
• Must have own tools / hand tools
• Must be physically fit and able to lift minimum of 50lbs, as well as be capable of bending, crouching, kneeling and working in confined spaces or in dusty and noisy conditions
